Light Weight Concrete Blocks

SIPOREX AAC BLOCKS

Siporex Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks also known as Autoclaved Cellular Concrete(ACC) or Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC). It is a lightweight, precast building material that simultaneously provides structure, insulation, and fire and mold resistance.

AAC Blocks ( Autoclaved Aerated Concrete – ” AAC “) a unique and excellent type of building materials due to its super heat, fire and sound resistance, AAC blocks is lightweight and offers ultimate workability, flexibility and durability.
AAC has excellent thermal insulation and acoustic absorption properties. AAC is fire and pest resistant, and is economically and environmentally superior to the more traditional structural building materials such as concrete, wood, brick and stone.

THE WONDER BUILDING MATERIAL OF THE WORLD

Manufactured in India since 1972, in collaboration with International Siporex AB of Sweden. The unique flexibility, structural and physical properties of Siporex [Light weight Autoclaved (Steam Cured), Aerated (cellular) Concrete – AAC] are appreciated the world over and is the preferred building material. It is ideal for all types of climatic and seismic zones

Aerated Light Weight concrete is today recognized the world over as an environment friendly product due to its superior insulating and energy saving properties. Increased use of Siporex helps to conserve and protect our planet’s forest cover.

PROPERTIES OF SIPOREX

LIGHT WEIGHT

Oven dry density of SIPOREX is 400 to 650kg/cum, i.e. just 1/4th the weight of dense concrete of 1/3rd the weight of conventional clay bricks.

Due to light weight, the dead loads on the foundation as well as on the supporting structure are reduced, thereby saving in concrete and steel.

FIRE RESISTANT

SIPOREX products are highly fire resistant and offer twice the fire protection of concrete.

SIPOREX blocks are able to withstand the standard fire for 240minutes under load.

HIGHLY INSULATING

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY TEST

Cuts the peaks of heat and cold, provides economy in installation and working of air conditioning units.

K Value 0.122 Kcal/Hr/m°C makes it suitable as insulation material.

ISI MARK & NORMS

»
SIPOREX products have ISI (BIS) norms and marking and are conforming to Indian standards.
»
SIPOREX blocks are conforming to IS 2185 (part 3).

HIGH STRENGTH TO WEIGHT RATIO

  • »
SIPOREX 18 to 22 against 16 for M15 grade concrete.

SOUND ABSORPTION

  • »
Sound absorbency of air borne sound for 3″ & 4″ walls is 38 to 40 db. Hence, it is ideal for auditoriums and theaters and for cutting off workshop sounds from offices.

COMFORTABLY WORKED

SIPOREX is workable like wood. It can be drilled, chiseled or nailed using simple carpentry tools. Thus, it   simplifies plumbing, electric work, fixing joinery etc.

SOUND ABSORPTION

  • »
Sound absorbency of air borne sound for 3″ & 4″ walls is 38 to 40 db. Hence, it is ideal for auditoriums and theatres and for cutting off workshop sounds from offices.

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY

  • »
SIPOREX eliminates the use of bricks which consumes valuable fertile soil required to grow food for our vast population.

SIPOREX A GREEN BUILDING MATERIAL

  • »
Due to energy saving and other environmental friendly properties, SIPOREX products are being extensively used in GREEN BUILDINGS. SIPOREX is also a member of INDIAN GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL (IGBC)

ADVANTAGES OF SIPOREX

  • »
More carpet area is available in the same built up area due to lesser widths of walling and cladding with SIPOREX blocks of 200 mm, 150 mm & 100 mm as against 350 mm, 230 mm & 115 mm in case of conventional brick masonry.
    »
Fast returns on investment due to speedy construction.
    »
Saving in Cement, Steel construction supervision cost, construction time, water requirements for construction, timber required for centring /shuttering etc.
    »
Uniform quality due to mass production in the factory.
    »
Due to high insulation properties of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, there will be substantial saving in installation and recurring cost of air conditioning units.
    »
Siporex Blocks are wire cut & are having plain surface. In view of this, the Plaster for internal walls is not required & directly Putty & Painting can be done, saving the plastering cost. However, External Plastering is recommended for AAC Blocks.
